Christopher C. Obropta is the Director of the New Jersey Water Resources Research Institute, an Extension Specialist in Water Resources with Rutgers Cooperative Extension, and a Professor with the Department of Environmental Sciences at Rutgers. He has a doctorate in Civil Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Rutgers, he was an environmental consultant for 12 years.  Dr. Obropta leads his highly specialized staff to identify and address community water resources issues using sustainable and practical science-based solutions throughout New Jersey.
