This panel discussion will focus on some of the new funding opportunities and partnerships the State Agriculture Development Committee (SADC) is cultivating as well as expansion of existing stewardship programs that help promote soil and water conservation.  The SADC’s experience with use of USDA-NRCS Regional Conservation Partner Program initiatives, side-by-side agricultural/open space easements, and its Soil and Water Cost Share grants will be discussed.  Other topics will include an update on farmland preservation funding, grants for deer fencing on farmland and efforts to amend the SADC’s rules for its Non-Profit program.
