Outside the boundaries of public land, a vast landscape of stewardship potential exists on private property.  Explore two programs that involve residents as informed stewards working to restore local landscapes. The Private Land Stewardship Program and Sourland Stewards have complementary approaches encompassing native plant restoration, deer management, invasive species removal, wildlife habitat, water management and more. Presenters from Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space and the Sourland Conservancy will discuss promoting nature connection, ecological understanding, community, and stewardship through these two grassroots programs.
